Big Cat Safari in Kenya

Overview

This enthralling safari puts you where the big cats of Africa roam. Visit the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, famed for wildebeest and zebra thundering across the landscape during the annual migrations in July and August. Benefitting from the knowledge and skill of your safari guide, you will learn a lot about the wildlife and the way the Masai live in harmony with their surroundings and the animals that call the savannah home.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival Nairobi

• Meet and greet at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to the Nairobi Hotel, where you can spend the rest of the day at your leisure
• Overnight at Emara Ole Sereni Hotel (Superior Room) with breakfast

Day 2 - Nairobi – Masai Mara

• Early pick up from hotel and transfer to Wilson Airport for a scheduled flight to Masai Mara (flight booked by ARP).
• The flight departs Nairobi at 1000hrs and arrives approximately at 1100hrs.
• Airport meet and greet and transfer to the lodge.
• Following lunch, there will be shared afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets.
• All inclusive overnight stay at Mara Engai Wilderness Lodge (standard tents).
• Added value experiences included in package (subject to weather conditions):
  • 1 bush breakfast
  • 1 bush dinner
  • 1 sundowner

Day 3 - Masai Mara Game Reserve

• Rising at dawn with tea and coffee, depart for an early morning shared game drive before breakfast, catching the animals before the heat of the day sets in.
• Enjoy the rest of the morning at leisure, followed by a shared afternoon game drive, returning to the lodge as the sun sets.
• All inclusive overnight stay at Mara Engai Wilderness Lodge (standard tents).

Day 4 - Masai Mara – Nairobi

• After breakfast, transfer to the nearest airstrip for a scheduled flight to Nairobi (flight booked by ARP).
• The flight departs Mara at 1100hrs and arrives in Nairobi at approximately 1215hrs.
• Meet and greet and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for flight back home (flight booked by agent).

Tour duration of 4 days/3 nights must start and finish within the specified dates:

• 1 July – 30 September 2025
• 1 October – 14 December 2025
• 15 December 2025 – 3 Jan 2026

Children’s Policy

• Children aged 0 to 2 years old free when sharing with 2 adults
• Children aged 2 to 11 sharing with 2 adults pay 75% of the adult sharing rate

Mandatory Supplements

• Christmas supplement (24, 25, 26, 31 December and 1 January 2026 – USD 73 per person per night)
• No reduction for third adult
• Accommodations are subject to availability at the time of booking

• Any other services which are not mentioned in the itinerary

Passenger Information

• Passengers should bring soft sided bags on safaris.
• All passengers must have their identification card/passport with them for domestic flights.
• Baggage on domestic flights is strictly limited to 15kg per person (including hand luggage). Any excess baggage will be charged by the airline at check-in.
• Due to limited luggage space in vehicles and domestic aircraft, hard suitcases are unsuitable for road-based safaris. We recommend soft sided suitcases and bags.

Cancellation Policy

• Stays between 1 July and 15 September 2025
  • 50% cancellation charges if cancelled from date of booking up to 71 days prior to travel
  • 100% cancellation charges if cancelled in less than 70 days
• Stays during the rest of the year
  • Sixty days before travel, a fee of USD 50 per person is charged as a handling fee to cover the cost of processing the booking and subsequent cancellation.
  • Between 60 days and 32 days in Kenya and in Tanzania, a rate of 25% of the value of booking applies for all services cancelled or reduced.
  • Between 31 days and 16 days in Kenya and in Tanzania, a rate of 50% of the value of booking applies for all services cancelled or reduced.
  • In the case of cancellation within 15 days from noon on the day the services commence or in the case of a no-show: 100% of the value of the booking is applicable.

• We may have to re-route the itinerary or accommodate in similar lodges in case of non-availability.

• Passengers arriving to Kenya and Tanzania may be required to provide proof of vaccination against yellow fever.
